# Receiving Orders

> Step by step guide to receiving orders in Xentral from Procuros.

## Receiving Orders

Procuros creates the orders of your trading partners directly in Xentral, using the Xentral API.

## Prerequisites

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check your API token">
    Make sure your API token has the `salesOrder:create` and `salesOrder:release` scopes. See [Technical Connection](/en/connectors/xentral/getting-started/technical-setup#token-scopes).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide which order status you want">
    Procuros creates the order in Xentral and then releases it. Decide whether incoming orders should arrive **released** or as a **draft**, and tell the Procuros team. We then set this status for your connection.

    You do not configure this in Xentral yourself.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Troubleshooting

If problems occur when receiving orders:

<Accordion title="Unit and Tax Class">
  The unit and the tax class of an order line are taken from the article master data in Xentral, not from the order message. A line therefore shows the unit of the article itself, typically "Stk".

  See [Article Master Data](/en/connectors/xentral/master-data-configuration/article-master-data#unit-and-tax-class).
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Disabled Articles">
  An order line that points at a disabled article is rejected right away with an error that names the article identifier.

  To resolve it, re-enable the article in Xentral or correct the article mapping.
</Accordion>
