# How to setup Article Master Data in Xental

> Step by step guide to configure your article master data

For successful integration between your Xentral system and the Procuros platform, various master data must be correctly configured. This guide walks you through the necessary steps.

## Article Master Data

Correctly stored article master data is crucial for error-free transmission of business documents.

### GTIN (Global Trade Item Number)/EAN

    A GTIN/EAN must be stored for each article that is traded with trading partners.

  <Step title="Enter GTIN in the system">
    Enter the GTIN/EAN in the appropriate field on the article card.
