# How to setup Article Master Data in Weclapp

> Step by step guide to configure your article master data

### Article GTIN / EAN

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open article card">
    Create the GTIN/EAN in the article master data of your articles that you use in transactions with your trading partners.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter GTIN in the system">
    To do this, open the item card of a corresponding item and store the GTIN/EAN in the "EAN" field.

  <Step title="Fill in required fields">
    You will also need to provide an article number and the description of the item.

  Please be careful not to include spaces or other special characters - the GTIN / EAN must adhere to the GS1 standards.

## Master Data Checklist

Use this checklist to ensure that all necessary master data is correctly stored:
